RED Technologies UK and UNCDF Partner to Launch POOJI, a Digital Remittance and Financial Inclusion Platform
Date: February 15, 2026

UNITED KINGDOM / BANGLADESH
RED Technologies Ltd., a leading innovator in financial technology, has announced a strategic partnership with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) to launch POOJI, a groundbreaking digital remittance and financial inclusion platform.
The initiative is being implemented under the Shafal Programme—a joint collaboration of the Embassy of Switzerland and UNCDF—as part of UNCDF’s Leaving No One Behind (LNOB) in the Digital Era initiative in Bangladesh. The platform is set to go live in early June, beginning with the vital remittance corridor between the United Kingdom and Bangladesh, with planned expansion to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, United States and Italy in subsequent phases.
To ensure a seamless and reliable service, RED Technologies is collaborating with NEC Money Bangladesh as its receiving partner in Bangladesh and NEC Money Transfer Limited as its partner in the United Kingdom. The Redcube mobile app, developed by Redcube Global Limited UK, will further enhance value for migrant workers and their families in managing remittances and small businesses.
POOJI is designed to serve Bangladeshi migrant workers and their families, addressing the dual challenges of high remittance costs and limited access to formal financial services. The mobile application will offer a secure, affordable, and user-friendly way to send and receive money, featuring biometric-enabled e-KYC and two-factor authentication (2FA) to ensure strong security and data protection.
Beyond money transfers, POOJI aims to promote financial empowerment. Families in Bangladesh will gain access to digital savings and micro-loan products, along with business tools and financial literacy training—helping them manage remittances more effectively, build small enterprises, and improve household resilience.
“We are proud to celebrate our partnership with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), a collaboration that exemplifies our shared commitment to advancing financial inclusion across underserved communities,” said Mr. Tanvir Alam, Chairman of RED Technologies Ltd.
“Our collaboration with UNCDF marks a significant step in our mission to leverage technology for social good,” added Mr. Khandaker Erfan, CEO of RED Technologies. “POOJI is more than a remittance app; it’s a gateway to financial inclusion that unlocks economic potential for Bangladeshi families worldwide.”
This partnership underscores the Embassy of Switzerland’s and UNCDF’s shared vision under the Shafal Programme to make digital finance more inclusive, secure, and accessible for migrant families—contributing to Bangladesh’s journey toward resilience.
